Perhaps you're part of our family or are friends keeping up to date with our adventures. We'd like to welcome you and would love to hear from you if you have the time.
Our new & most recent adventure is that we are headed to Turkey to live and work for a couple of years. We are quite excited to be headed to a new part of the world and looking forward to being able to learn about a new culture, but hopefully will be able to travel as well. We will be living on Incirlik Air Base, about an hour away from Adana (5th largest city in Turkey).

(The star is near Adana and where we will be living)
Heather will be working as a nurse in one of the clinics on base, while Chuck will be continuing to study to get his bachelors degree of psychology through an online university. Chuck is also going to start a podcast (or online radio segment) about home safety, how to be more aware about safety and protect yourself and home. We'll let you know when he gets the first one online and where to find it.
As is mentioned in the title, we are heading to Turkey... if God wants us there. We are suppose to be there by the end of June, but everything is taking forever to get done and we still don't have the official approval to go. Our expectations now are that we will get it a couple of days before we are to leave, despite the fact that we can't get flights or anything done with our belongings until we get the approval. Thus, we are praying about Heather going ahead to get things started there while Chuck stays in MD to make sure all the belongings are packed up properly by the movers (since they are so busy that no one can come before the middle of July) and get last minute things taken care of.
Despite what feels like tons of frustrations and obstacles that seem to have occurred during the process of this move, God has blessed us many times over. Our families have been very helpful in many different ways and we have enjoyed getting in as much time as we can with our family and friends. God blessed us with enough time and cheap tickets to be able to get to Vermont before we left the country, as well as visit our skydiving friends and spend time with our church family at Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware. (Pictures of some of our recent travels are included in this post)
God has kept us sane thus far and we are trusting in Him to keep us sane for our future. He has been teaching us to praise Him continually despite the frustrations and number of times we've wanted to shout or cry. Thus, we will end with this verse that has been an encouragement to us:
